Classes and Workshops
Blue Ridge Irish Music School provides classes in traditional Irish music on a variety of instruments. Multiple class sessions per year are offered for beginner and intermediate students of all ages! We also host workshops with world class visiting artists!
Dance Instruction
Dance Classes and Performance
Blue Ridge Irish Music School provides classes in traditional Irish dance in soft shoe, sean-nós, stepdance and Cape Breton styles. Multiple class sessions per year are offered for beginner and intermediate students of all ages! BRIMS also has a performance dance ensemble that reaches the community though this amazing tradition!

BRIMS hosts concerts and classes with artists of the highest caliber. It is so important to us to bring top-notch performers to the area! Concerts sponsored by BRIMS and our partners are open to the community to enjoy!
BRIMS Camp
Annual Summer Day Camp for ages 5-14
BRIMS Summer Day Camp offers students a rich cultural experience that includes Irish music, dance, singing, drama, Irish language, crafts and more! Camp is for ages 5-14 and runs from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m (an hour of care both before and after is available).​

Uilleann Piping
Tionols and Piping Community
BRIMS is excited to add an uilleann piping program to our offerings! The Uilleann Pipes are a unique instrument with a rich tradition that we are excited to be a part of! We offer "Try-The-Pipes" experiences, Tionols for all levels off pipers and are working to build a community of pipers in the region to share knowledge and music!
Ireland Study
Travel and Learn
BRIMS leads a trip to Ireland every other year to allow students and travelers to take classes with Irish musicians, singers and dancers, attend sessions and soak up as much landscape and culture as possible!
Community Music
Perormance and Outreach
BRIMS is constantly seeking new opportunities to teach Irish traditional music and dance and its social context. Our performing group and instructors perform extensively in the local community, both formally and informally, contributing to its cultural richness and diversity. We would love to perform for you or host and educational program with you!
