Ireland Study Trip
BRIMS' has sponsored five study trips to Ireland since our inception, the latest in June, 2018. Everyone is welcome to participate; you don't need to be a BRIMS student or member to come on this trip!
Trips are run (depending on interest) every other year, the next tentatively scheduled for June/July of 2021.
Trip price includes: airfare, on-ground transportation (we hire buses, so nobody needs to drive!), food, accommodations (in hostels; the hostels in Ireland are very nice!), classes in music, singing, dance and more. This is just to give you an idea of all we offer and include for a reasonable price.
In addition to classes in music and dance we also visited with renowned Irish storyteller Eddie Lenihan, visited Cnoc Suain, a cultural center in the countryside of Spiddal and had sketching classes in Ennis.
Classes in Ireland will include (but won't be limited to):
-
Music (in all instruments that are played by those on the trip)
-
Dance: Step dance, sean nos, social (sets & ceili)
-
Singing
-
