Released in 2001, this album was made as a BRIMS benefit project, but it is also meant to be a sampler of Irish music in the Charlottesville area. On it you will find BRIMS performers in both large and small groups; you will also find their teachers, mentors and friends. Much of this recording captures live one-take performances with minimal editing after-the-fact, while some tracks are carefully crafted studio pieces. This is a snapshot in time of these musicians and dancers. For many participants, this was their first time in a recording studio, but for all the process of recording became an extension of social times spent with friends and the music.
